In the case of asthma, sauna bathing can relieve the acute symptoms: the high temperatures increase blood circulation to the mucous membranes and thus facilitate coughing. The relaxing effect on the lung muscles increases the capacity in the lungs and facilitates breathing. Regularly going to sauna can even reduce the risk of asthmatic seizures. What does sauna do for healthy skin?
The skin is vigorously blooded in the sauna, which provides it with plenty of oxygen and nutrients: the metabolism of the skin works twice as fast in the heat as usual. The effect is a rosy, firm skin all over the body. The warmth opens the pores of the skin, so that care products are particularly well absorbed during the resting phases or after the sauna visit.
