Design sauna with glass front made to measure
This client had initially planned to use the newly built premises completely for fitness and training. Through the suggestions of his interior designer, the idea arose to also plan a sauna to recover and regenerate after sports. The client is very satisfied that the interior designer has brought corso sauna manufaktur into play: “Would I recommend corso? … the client came to the corso exhibition and can recommend this to anyone who is planning a sauna at home: “I come from a family of carpenters and grew up in a carpentry shop in Delmenhorst. It was impressive to see the corso manufactory and to take a look at the production: the smell of processed wood works, I had a very positive impression of the craftsmanship of the carpenters and simply collected a lot of inspiration on site.”
When planning the sauna together, care was taken to optimally integrate the cabin into the room: walking paths and viewing directions are chosen in such a way that you feel safe in the sauna, but the view can wander both into the countryside and towards the fire during the sauna. “Thanks to the open design, we can enjoy the view outside into the garden or onto the effect fire while taking a sauna. The sauna has actually become a pole of tranquility for us, which we use with the whole family. My wife uses it more as a warm bio sauna, but when I go to the sauna with my son, we take a Finnish sauna at correspondingly high temperatures. Thanks to the combi heater, we have all the options.”
The highlight of this custom-made sauna project is without a doubt the very successful combination of the cozy thermo-aspen and the generous glass front, continued over the corner. The thermo-aspen in the sharp-edged version looks modern, but the dark shade and the brushed surface make the wood look very comfortable: due to its unequal structure, the wood is reminiscent of flotsam drawn by the rough sea. The surface enlargement creates an optimal sauna climate, whereby the “caramelized” aspen exudes a pleasant wood scent. The externally extended sauna benches form a beautiful transition from the sauna interior to the room and can also be used as a practical storage area or for seating. For the client from Ganderkesee, corso sauna was the right decision: “From planning to installation, everything went very well and very according to plan, the entire process was great.”
