Sauna area public bath
corso has built four spacious saunas, a steam bath and the ice fountain for the new sauna area at Georg-Arnhold-Bad Dresden which should become more attractive. In order to create a “Dresden-typical” overall picture, all saunas have a thematic connection to the city and region: from the hay sauna “Dresdner Elbwiesen” with ergonomically shaped loungers to the “coffee house sauna”, in which a light aroma of freshly fired beans lies in the air. From the panoramic sauna with the Dresden city silhouette, sauna guests enjoy the view to the atrium with outdoor pool. The walls of the sauna area have been decorated with Baroque and Renaissance artworks.
We are very satisfied with the handling and installation. Our guests are delighted.
“Dresden-typical” saunas with a special flair: new sauna landscape at the Georg-Arnhold-Bad
The sauna area built by corso at the Georg-Arnhold-Bad Dresden comprises a total of four saunas, a steam bath and an ice fountain. (The area is also complemented by Kneipp pools, plunge pools, relaxation rooms and a relaxation pool.) Inspired by the “Dresdner Elbwiesen” the Heusauna (60 °C) was designed: In this bio sauna you can relax at milder sauna temperatures and higher humidity. Special features are the ergonomically shaped loungers, on which visitors can sauna particularly comfortably. And the panels on which real, pressed hay is applied – for the very special “natural pure aroma”. In the aroma sauna “Tharandter Wald” (70 °C) rustic, coarsely peeled planks without tree bark serve as decorative elements. With its fir forest aroma, the sauna appeals to all the senses. Pure relaxation – almost as if you were in the middle of the forest… A special feature is also the “Coffee House Sauna” (70 °C), in which one feels transferred to a historic Dresden coffee house where a light aroma of freshly roasted beans lies in the air. Decorated with coffee service elements from ancient times and other elements such as café lights, real beans and coffee grinders, a cosy atmosphere is created. Almost like a visit to the favorite café around the corner with a cosy chat among friends… The largest sauna for up to 50 people is the Panorama sauna “Brühlsche Terrasse” (95 °C): through the large glass front, which is decorated with the city silhouette of Dresden, guests look out over the bright atrium with the outdoor relaxation pool. A huge, free-standing sauna heater in the middle of the sauna invites you to vigorous infusions. The indirect LED lighting behind the backrests creates a pleasant atmosphere. In the steam bath “Bärenzwinger” (45 °C) finally, guests may relax at 100% humidity under the starry sky. A successful project that will certainly give many guests relaxing moments.
