Noble & rich in contrast

This high-quality corso design sauna was built in a particularly noble wooden combination: the bright aspen contrasts with its lightness and pleasant feel to the darker thermal oak. In order to achieve the appearance of the calcified thermal oak, the wood was treated with a special corso process, so that it is still compatible with saunas and withstands the high heat loads. The sauna is integrated into a private SPA with rainshower shower, heated relaxation loungers and black glazed media wall with fake fireplace and TV. Pure wellness – in a former children’s room.

Unusual with valuable materials

With this sauna, two sauna lovers have fulfilled their dream: a specially purchased semi-detached apartment has been completely converted into a private sauna area. “No state-of-the-art design sauna was desired, but also no 08/15 sauna, but something discreetly unusual with valuable materials”, says the client. Corso has implemented the wishes with a discreet hemlock sauna, which is generously equipped with LED lighting, glass corner, infrared emitter and design oven. The couple added: “We like the sauna super class.” What more do you want?

Seating area with infrared

“We chose a corso reclaimed wood sauna, as it perfectly fit into our hotel concept. On the one hand, our hotel is 90% wood-made, which is why we attach great importance to natural materials when it comes to furnishing. On the other hand, it had to be a sauna, which fits into our small wellness area and still offers space for relaxing hours. This is exactly what corso fulfilled: the implementation of our ideas went smoothly and quickly,” says Markus Bach, Managing Director Of Landhotel Lebensart in Sonsbeck. In addition, there is a seating area with infrared emitters in front of the sauna – for additional relaxation. The hotelier coordinated directly with us and involved us early in the planning, so that corso could actively contribute ideas for optimal design.

Sauna in penthouse bathroom

This corso design sauna is the highlight of the penthouse bath: perfectly fitted under the sloping roof, it was positioned at the head end of the long-cut room. The interior cladding is designed with reclaimed wood from Austria and natural stone elements, which were also used in the bathroom interior and thus result in an aesthetic overall design. The benches are made of thermal aspen wood, the LED strips behind the backrests underline the straightforward design of the sauna. It is easy to relax in the sauna, but thanks to the generous glazing you still do not feel constricted.

Harmonious sense of space

This corso sauna creation is illuminated in gentle red orange. The backrest lighting allows to change in any color, the pleasant light leads to a harmonious sense of space. The dark walnut wood looks very noble, the large, glazed front gives the sauna more transparency and acts into the room. The spacious, free-floating sauna-bathing area offers the opportunity to relax and enjoy the harmonious ambience of the private wellness area.

Two-sided glazed design sauna

The client planned to design a high-quality private SPA with homely character. corso designed and built a custom design sauna: the lightness of the bright aspen, combined with the full glazing on both sides, makes this design a “sauna with panoramic views”, which is the highlight of the luxurious penthouse apartment. The construction with the two symmetrically arranged, free-standing loungers and the continuous LED lighting behind the backrests underline the clear lines of the sauna.

Relaxing with penthouse character

Venice Beach at Postgalerie Karlsruhe offers around 3,000 square metres of state-of-the-art fitness with a penthouse character – in a listed magnificent building above the city’s rooftops. In keeping with the high-quality modern style of the studio, the wellness area was also furnished, whose central “resting pole” is the sauna landscape planned and implemented by corso. Guests of Venice Beach are invited to sweat and relax in two Finnish saunas and a bio sauna. As a decorative element, a side wall with Douglas fir-split wood in wooden log is decorated to take the guests on a mental journey to the ski hut. The interior cladding made of sunburnt reclaimed wood spreads a rustic and cosy atmosphere and also the backlit salt stone walls contribute with their changing light colours to the deep relaxation of the sauna guests.

Sauna with glass corner

Completely classic sauna decorated in spruce and bright aspen. Due to the glass element placed around the corner, it looks modern and clear. With the plastered outer walls, the cabin fits nicely into the room, the wooden frame forms the transition from the outside to the inside. Thanks to the interior cladding with spruce wood, this sauna could be optimally implemented within the given budget – as a kind of “symbiosis” of classic sauna with design elements.
